LEGO WEEKEND WORKSHOPS AT SCIENCE NORTH

HAVE A SPECIAL LEGO® ADVENTURE EVERY WEEKEND!

SUDBURY, ON – Each weekend until January 8, Science North will be featuring special LEGO workshops in the Special Exhibits Hall to complement its new special exhibition LEGO® Adventure: It’s what you make it! People are being encouraged to come in and build their best LEGO creations for great LEGO prizes! LEGO Adventure and the LEGO Weekend Workshops are included with Science Centre admission (FREE for Science North members). The workshops are as follows:

October 29 & 30
Halloween is right around the corner – build LEGO ghosts, witches and other scary creatures of the night and get a free LEGO giveaway. Guess the correct number of bricks in the giant 10’ tall LEGO robot to win a LEGO prize pack.

November 5 & 6
Make LEGO poppies in honour of our veterans for a free LEGO giveaway. Guess the correct number of bricks in the giant 10’ tall LEGO robot to win a LEGO prize pack.

November 12 & 13
Build LEGO candy, from suckers to chocolate bars, and get a free LEGO giveaway. Guess the correct number of bricks in the giant 10’ tall LEGO robot to win a LEGO prize pack. Then, see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in IMAX (a separate admission price applies – see the trailer at http://sciencenorth.ca/imax).

November 19 & 20
Build LEGO holiday creations – from Christmas trees to ornaments to snowboards, for a free LEGO giveaway. Guess the correct number of bricks in the giant 10’ tall LEGO robot to win a LEGO prize pack. Then, see Santa vs. the Snowman in IMAX (a separate admission price applies – see the trailer at http://sciencenorth.ca/imax).

November 26 & 27
The 2005 Northern Ontario F.I.R.S.T. Lego League Qualifying Tournament will be held at Science North on Saturday, November 26 (more at: http://sciencenorth.ca/fll). And, it’s LEGO make & take weekend – make a ‘Clickits bracelet’ to take home. Guess the correct number of bricks in the giant 10’ tall LEGO robot to win a LEGO prize pack.

December 3 & 4
