Sudbury, ON â Now is the time to register for Science Northâs brand new After-school Science Kidsâ Program (A.S.K Program), which begins September 6 – the first day of school.
Students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 are invited to spend the time before and/or after-school unwinding and exploring science and fun with the dynamic, bilingual Bluecoats at Science North.
This program offers a great variety of activities to keep children busy and entertained, including Science Kids programming, physical activity, the Homework Club, and time to play. Bilingual staff will assist students with their assignments in the Homework Club and provide skills development with mini-workshops, games and co-operative challenges. Science projects will help develop their research, writing and numeracy skills. Children will be able to take advantage of the science tools, technology and resources of Science Northâs world-class science centre.
After-school programming runs until 6:00 p.m. Parents may choose an earlier pick up. Early Morning Science Club (before school) is also available from 7:00 a.m. to the start of school day.
Students from Alexander Public School, Corpus Christi School, MacLeod Public School, St. Francis School, St. Michael School and St. Theresa School, will be able to use the school bus system to attend the program. Students from other schools are welcome to register, but must make their own transportation arrangements to and from Science North.
